About the Artist:

Lily Cheung originally from North Wales.

And currently living in London, attended printmaking school at the London Metropolitan University.

She finds her background from her cultural perspective as a experimental artist. it is indeed can bring a unique to one's artwork, and it is fascinating to see how she was inspired by Frida Kahlo, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali, Gustav Klint, Louise Bourgeois to Jackson Pollock who shaped her and create an output for her experience being born into an era which could mean that she has sampled some cultural and society changes, which could also influence her work. It is possible that she has developed a style over a period, but it's also worth noting that she has often experiment and evolve the styles with her blend of pattern.

She is also uses printmaking to create her work, which can make a tactile and tangible quality to her work. The use of repetitive abstract forms and figurines visualised to create a sense of pattern and rhythm in her work, while her portraits can offer a more intimate and personal touch to her art. It sounds like her work is a celebration of her life experiences of individuality, which can be a powerful message in today's world.

Overall, Lily's artwork seems to offer a refreshing and inspiring perspective on life and the world around us.
